DEADDROP follows a found-family crew of supernatural couriers who ride a sentient inter-realm train, The Line. Their job is simple on paper: collect a sealed box from one spirit-realm vault and deliver it to another without letting it open, leak, or get stolen. In practice every delivery is a high-stakes misadventure of spirits, ghosts, rival crews and boxes with minds of their own. At the centre is Haru, a terrified but increasingly brave teenager whose ability to see the true contents of sealed things makes him invaluable, and a target.

Backstory: At age 12 he tried to open a locked toolbox that belonged to his late father. Instead of tools he saw something that should never have been visible. The contents briefly escaped and caused a small, never-explained incident. Ever since, sealed things occasionally show him their true nature. He has spent years trying to stop seeing rather than develop the ability. The Organization recruited him because he kept accidentally opening their packages in public.
